March Maddness!

Don't worry that yes, again, I have beat Nate in March Maddness. Sorry Babe. And...the final four have not even played yet! Go North Carolina!

Go Green

NO MORE GREEN SCRUBS! And only 4 weeks left! (I am doing a little dance right now)
I am willing to sell them if any of you are just dying to have some authentic UVU nursing scrubs. Blood and all! Just joking I washed them! Going once, going twice!

St. George

Spring break is finally here...and almost over! I have been trying to spring clean all week, but it is so hard with the nice weather and Ty is getting his top teeth and is whiny and wants me to hold him all the time! Its been great though. I am soooo very happy about the weather! Me, Ty, Kristi and Angie (my bestest nursing girls) went to St. George for a couple of days. It was so nice. All we did was eat, sleep, lay out at the pool, and a bit of shopping. We also tried to watch a movie that we rented which took 2 trips to Walmart for a video cord, then a DVD player. It never ended up working and back to Walmart to return everything!

There is a great cupcake place in St. George, don't remember the name...something main street. Anyways, we went there twice and stuffed our faces with all kinds of yummy cupcakes! For breakfast one morning, we got waffles which came with a side of syrup. Neither Kristi or I used the syrup, so Angie told us that she would pay for both of our breakfasts if we "shot" the syrup. Of course I am going to take her up on that! It was at least $10 worth! I don't even like maple syrup. We did it. Kristi was practically dry heaving and wanted to throw up so bad. I just got a headache from all the nasty sugar. It was worth it though. Everyone around us in the restaraunt was cheering us on, or saying "don't do it!" We had a blast!

We also got some awesome pictures of Ty. Kristi's sister-in-law is a photographer and wanted to take some pics of him! It was so nice of her. Ty did fall off of a bail of hay and scraped his head pretty good, but we got some great pictures!

25 Random things you may not know about me

Ok, so you know how this was going around facebook a while back? Well now I have a few seconds to spare and thought I would just do it on the blog. So here goes for SKH:
1. I love nursing (no not breastfeeding. Thanks a lot Courtney!). It rocks, especially if a life is on the line!

4. I have recently been told by a black woman that I have some serious ghetto bootay
5. I was a figure skater until I moved to Utah
6. I scored a goal in 23 straight games...dang you stacy reynolds
7. I am very competitive...in junior high I went out and bought some new running shoes because I couldn't beat Trish Bodell in the funrun...it worked!
8. When I was little I would get sleepover anxiety...I couldn't go to sleep and my mom would always have to come get me
9. In Hawaii I was stung by a portugese man-o-war (it went in my board shorts) and had to spend a day with meat tenderizer on my legs
10. I am a Daddy's girl
11. I have had 16 teeth pulled by the dentist because my teeth are big and my jaw is small
12. I love to ride my horse with my dad
13. I love a nice hot bath with oils
14. I have shot a lizzard with a paintball gun
15. I am freaky about having my hands clean
16. When I was little I would cheat at games so that I would win...especially SORRY
17. I can't live without soccer! I love it!
18. I got a second pierce in my ear on a lunch break because I was bored
19. The skin flap that holds your lip to your gums...mine is split because I was running and fell into a picnic table
20. I hate listening to people eat chips or cereal. It drives me crazy!
21. I have only gotten stitches once - in my hand

23. I have jumped off a 70ish foot cliff at lake powell...no I will never do it again!

Nursing Conference in the Ghetto

Me and my girls went to a nursing conference this past weekend in Price, UT. The only restaurant they have is super ghetto. It looked like 4 trailers put together! We had so much fun though. We played pool at this bar at our hotel...below the ghetto restaurant. We were the only ones there! We owned the juke box and the pool table. We danced and sang! At the nurseing conference, we had different classes that we went to. We mostly went to ones to help us pass the boards :) It won't be long now. There was also a raffle for "cool" gifts...I got a dinosaur picture! Ty will love it when he is 5!

Yes, I know I haven't posted since Christmas! It has been so busy with school starting again. I have been doing clinicals at UVRMC on Cardiovascular ICU. Love it! So fun and I learned so much. Ty is just getting bigger and cuter. Crawling fast! His new trick is waving Bye. Nate is still doing the same old stuff at work. We are so excited for spring. This depressing winter and cold is really getting to me! Nothing else is really new! We always get excited for March Maddness though! (I always win :)

Christmas fun

One of our favorite family traditions is a green glass pickle gets hidden on the Christmas tree. The first one to find it gets a present. This year it was hard...but I won of course :) Ty loves opening present (but all he cares about is the paper!). He is crawling and getting faster so we are gonna be in trouble! Nate and I went to a Christmas party at our friend's the Foote's and Nate won best Christmas sweater for the guys (Thanks Chris and Angie). We have had a busy, busy great holiday. Lots of great food and fun with family. Happy New Year!
