Lake Powell

We had a blast at Lake Powell as usual. Ty was really good about wearing his life jacket and had a great time with his little cousins. It was soooooo hot! Especially at night. We swam a ton, wakeboarded, waterskied, airchaired, tubed, and hiked. We even golfed off the cliffs which we have done the last couple years. There's absolutely nothing like Lake Powell!

ER BABY!

Its has definitely been a crazy couple of months since I blogged last! I have been in the RN Residency program at UVRMC and was able to do rotations in the Emergency Room and Medical/Surgical ICU. LOVED both and had an opportunity to get hired, but the ER is so my thing, and a little more flexible where a schedule is concerned. I started for real the begining of last week. My first day was awesome. I got to hang out and meet people, go watch procedures that I normally wouldn't see, and hang out with some cool paramedics that showed me the ropes. It was a great day and I am loving it. Somewhat overwhelming. I just have to learn so much, but everyone says it just takes time to get a flow going. I am working full time (3 days a week), and mostly 11am-11pm's and some nights. Nights are actually more fun anyways! Here are some pics of my first day...

Ty's 1st Birthday!

Ty's Birthday was on Tuesday, and he was a sick little boy. He had been having a temp of 102-104 for a couple days and I finally took him to the doctors. He had a red, pussy throat which was viral, so we couldn't give him anything except meds to control his fever. But, the party must go on, and we went to the park. Everyone was there and it was a lot of fun. Although Ty screamed while trying to eat his cake, I think he had an ok time.

Zermatt

We went to Zermatt for the weekend after graduation. We took Ty swimming, and me being very allergic to whatever they have in their pool broke out in a gnarly rash. It was so awful but we had a blast aside from the rain the whole weekend! We also took ty on the carousel...he had to ride the goat because he has to drink goat's milk now haha!

GRADUATION!

Graduation was long, boring, but awesome! Such a relief to be done. I was with my girls so that made it even better. No, I didn't trip...but...right before we walked into the University Commencement, one of our instructors, Diane (the one in the pic above), hugged us to death and knocked our hats off! So we were running in trying to fix our hats and it was really embarrassing! Other than that, it was pretty cool. We had a BBQ at my parents afterwards and had a blast. It was such a great day!

Ty's New Fav

Swinging at the park is Ty's new favorite thing. This was at Marshall's 1st birthday party and Marie got a perfect shot! Hahahahaha!

Nursing Class 2009

Nice photo huh...you can tell that nobody from about half way back really knows whats going on! Can you see me in the back wondering if we are even in the picture and Kristi saying to me "This is stupid, I don't get what we are supposed to do!" Hahahaha LOVE it. Probably didn't help that we ran to the gas station for drinks and we walked in and everyone was on the one side of the class room, and DK was tipsy on a table in the front trying to snap a photo! Oh, and don't worry that Angie is saying "the lighting is not so good in here. It will probably make me look fat!" (love you Ang).

Soccer ball welt

This is why I don't play goalkeeper! On our women's indoor team, we don't have a goalie, so we switch off every 5 minutes or so. During my turn, a girl nailed it from about 4 feet away from me! I naturally was going for it with my feet and it happened to catch my arm. Don't worry though...it didn't go in! I just couldn't move my arm for about 10 minutes! (Jason A. you will appreciate the pain only it is usually on your thighs!) And yes, the shape is still there today only the lines are purple.

HAPPY EASTER

We had a great weekend, aside from the horrible weather on Saturday that made us have to postpone our easter egg hunt. We had a fun sunday, easter egg hunts, lots of food, and family. Now I have to gear up today for a long week...sad!
