Christmas fun

One of our favorite family traditions is a green glass pickle gets hidden on the Christmas tree. The first one to find it gets a present. This year it was hard...but I won of course :) Ty loves opening present (but all he cares about is the paper!). He is crawling and getting faster so we are gonna be in trouble! Nate and I went to a Christmas party at our friend's the Foote's and Nate won best Christmas sweater for the guys (Thanks Chris and Angie). We have had a busy, busy great holiday. Lots of great food and fun with family. Happy New Year!

Winter Wonderland

Finally school is over for the semester! Yay! Marie's brother and his girlfriend were on town so I took them up to teach them how to snow board. It was soooo cold and snowed the whole day! Jake and Dani and did so good though...both very athletic. By the second run I didn't need to give them anymore tips, they just cruised down (with a few falls of coarse!).

I wanna be a cowboy babaaaay

I like big BUGS and I cannot lie, you otha brothas can't deny...

I just found this pic on my mom's computer and had to put it on! LOL!

Horse Ride

We went on a horse ride a couple weeks ago! It was beautiful with the leaves changing and the view of the valley. Ty tagged along at the end for a ride in the corral. He loves being in on all the action.

Schools for fools (and sluffers!)

I know I have been so bad at this blog stuff! But I have a few exciting things to put up in the next few day! A couple weeks ago, Kristi Hight and I left clinicals early at 2 am (only like an hour early). Anyways we got caught, and blah, blah, blah, we had to have a punishment! Our punishment was to help our favorite instructor from 1st semester! She had the 1st semester students use us as dummies and pass them off for 5 hours. Luckily we made it fun and found an amazing new ice cream at scoops called mud pie!!! We will probably get some today on our way to clinicals. School is so fun but so hard core. Only 3 more clinicals though!

Is It Really Already September!!??

Sorry everyone! I have been so bad at blogging this summer! We have been on so many trips and I would rather be outside than inside on my computer! School just started and it is crazy! Ty is four months old today and has to go get his shots in about an hour...sad! He is getting so big and changing so much. He is full of laughs and smiles and love watching mom play soccer and dad play football. We took Ty to Lake Powell and to Bear Lake twice...he loves summer! Anyways, Here are a few picks for you guys that keep bugging me about how bad of a blogger I am!! :)

Day on the lake

Ty LOVES to be out on the boat!

Holy cow life has been crazy! Such a huge adjustment. I have enjoyed not working though and being able to walk up the canyon often. I do start work next week unfortunately! Ty is changing and getting big! We are doing well besides trying to figure out the best way to do things. We were at the Huntsman family reunion this last weekend and it was so much fun! It was up at Strawberry Bay and we had a blast. I start work on Monday...excited, but a whole new adjustment! Don't think I am settled in the current adjustment yet!

Ty at home

Life at home with Ty

I have been trying to do this since Monday (He was a week old monday)! I don't know where the time goes during the day, but nothing gets done! Hahaha! It seems so long ago since I was pregnant...if feels good not to have a huge belly! Ty is doing great. He has started to smile when he falls asleep which is super cute. We have had tons of visitors and they all say that he looks like Nate. He is getting a double chin but I think that is the only place he is getting fat. Of course he likes to pee everywhere when his diaper comes off, but mostly likes to do it when my mom changes him! I have only gotten squirted once! Our Air Conditioner was broken over the weekend when it was sooooo hot! That was miserable! It is fixed now and we are sweat-free.

Ty at the Hospital

Ty James Huntsman

We finally picked out a name for him! We were all packed up in the hospital, ready to go home and we wanted to decide before we left. He looks like a Ty though. We went home Wednesday afternoon. I have been planning on putting more pics up and updating info but I plan my whole day, but MAYBE half of it happens. We plan to go somewhere and for some reason it takes two hours to leave! This will be hard to get used to for me ahahah! He is doing great though. He sleeps well, eats well, and is already growing fast. At his doctor's appointment on Friday he had already gained 4 oz. since we left the hospital on Wed. He is loads of fun!

Baby Huntsman

He's here! Crazy, we thought that he would be late, but he wanted to come 5 days early! Long story short, I started having contractions Saturday night after a normal day of cleaning and doing stuff around the house. They happened all throughout the night, and all day Sunday when finally around 11 p.m. the contractions were close enough together that we went to the hospital. They sent us home with morphine because I wasn't dilated and they didn't want to admit me quite yet. We were back in an hour! We got admitted and didn't have him til 2:49 p.m. It took a long time but he was worth it! He weighed 6 lbs 10 oz and measured 20 in long. He hardly cried after delivery and was very alert for a couple hours. He is a very beautiful, good-natured little guy that we feel is perfect, but doesn't have a name yet!

Nursery

Everyone has been asking me about putting pics of the nursery up, so here they are! It is brown, bright green, and a bit of blue. We painted one of the walls green. My mom made the curtains with the perfect fabric-brown, green, and blue striped. We are still waiting on our chair that we had to order, but other than that, it is pretty much finished!

Whew!

I know it has been a while! School got way too crazy for the last little bit, but now it is over...for the summer! We haven't really been doing much other than getting ready for the baby and Nate has been working hard out in the yard pruning trees and getting the garden ready. P.S. if you didn't notice...it snowed yesterday! What a crappy April. I told Nate we are moving somewhere warm and I am not joking anymore! We just got the second bathroom finished in the house and it looks great (thanks dad!). I have had a few baby showers now and we have received some really nice things. Only about 3 weeks to go! Can you believe it! We can't. Now that I can focus on it, it is so crazy to think about.
Our 1st anniversary is on sunday. It has been a year already. We already celebrated by going down to vegas for spring break in March so we could enjoy some sunshine, but don't worry that it was cold down there for the weekend! We also stayed in the ghetto armpit of vegas which we laughed about constantly! We went and saw Mama Mia (if anyone is planning on going to see that, talk to me first). We also went to some Mountain West Conference Tournament games which were really fun.
I told Nate that he could finally shave his head because it should be getting warm soon. But he wanted a mohawk...I think it looks pretty good!

Rock and Roll Forever!

We had a "Battle of the Rock Bands" party saturday night for Megan's birthday! We had so much fun and rocked all night long! Everyone looked so good dressed up, except for I didn't get Garrett's picture before he started to slowly change his clothes. Nate and I voted him the best rocker costume! We drew names out of a hat which made up the bands. We then played 2 song sets and rotated instruments each time. What a killer party! Nate is dressed as Angus from AC/DC and I am just a punk rocker! (30 weeks pregnant here! Good thing black is slimming!) CHECK OUT THE SLIDE SHOW ON THE RIGHT!

Pregnant momma

Ok! Here they are! These are in order from January Til now. Sorry, I did them backwards! The first one I am 29 weeks...nice belly button huh! The second one I am 27 weeks, and the third I am 25 weeks. Before that, you couldn't even tell!

Slide off!

This is when I slid off the road at 4:45am to meet Angie for clinicals at Primary Childrens! It is off the American Fork Harts exit. I got sooooo stuck and it was freezing! We dug and pushed and pulled forever! Of course Nate didn't answer his phone :) so Angie had to call her husband to pull me out! Our feet were wet and frozen the rest of the day! Don't worry that we milked it a bit and stopped at McDonald's on the way up, even though we were late! I had to get some things tightened under my car a couple days later...I need to take them some doughnuts for hooking me up!

Everyone wants pics of me fat! I have not taken any pics of myself, but my mom has about 1000! I will get some from her so I can post them. I feel fat, and I eat about 30 Tums a day. I am of course in class right now learning about how fun labor and the pain after will be! :) We finally bought a crib and a video camera on saturday! We found them both for cheaper online, but we have to wait for them to be mailed. We are excited to get them. The end is creeping up fast! Nate's ward basketball team took 3rd place, so they are going regional! Maybe they will go all the way.....hahaha! Amy this is for you by the way (she gets had been getting mad at me for not up dating!). Everyone needs to come to turbo kickboxing every monday and wednesday nights at 700 at Gold's Gym! It rocks!

Nursing school

It is my 2nd semester of nursing school. It is a love hate relationship. At least I have my two great friends in nursing with me...Angie and Kristi. They keep me sane and we can vent to each other about everything. We have finished our OR rotation and are now on both Pediatric at Primary Children's and Mom/baby & Labor/delivery at Utah Valley Regional. Peds is fun, but way different than what I am used to. It is such a different atmosphere at Primary's and there are just sick kids everywhere. You feel so much worse for the little kids than for adults! Mom/baby is just normal because sometimes I will get pulled up there for work. I did get into huge trouble though by my nazi instructor for leaving my stethascope at home! Oops! She is a very scary lady! I told Nate last night that if he is super overprotective of the baby in the hospital I will send him home! I had a patient yesterday and the new dad about drove me crazy! He would say "Oh no he just sneezed 3 times...is that normal!!!???", and "make sure you hold his head up so it doesn't flop!!!" I wanted to kill him! School is going good though, just super busy and no breaks! In fact, I am sitting in lecture right now writing this! Hahaha!

Its a boy!

Its a boy! We are way excited. The day we had the ultrasound I was in class before watching horror labor and delivery videos. It got me so scared! Anyways, the day we found out, we went out and bought some cute little boy clothes and my grandma came over and gave us a cute little baseball outfit and a stuffed soccer ball. We made out big purchase on monday and bought a stroller! We are still remodeling stuff at the house too and our dining room table is getting painted as we speak. It will be good to have that done. Nate and I gave talks in Sacrament on sunday on New Beginnings and Life Changes. We were both totally freaked out, but it went well. At least people said that they enjoyed our talks, but they probably say that to everyone to make them feel good!

Boy or girl?

Today I finally decided to start a blog because I love to look at all my friends and they have talked me into it. We find out today what gender our baby is. No, Nate didn't necessarity WIN because I was nice and made a deal with him that if we find out the first one, we don't find out the rest. It was nice of me to compromise right! I think that it is a boy, but I don't care either way. Nate wants a boy so bad he can hardly stand it...says that if it is a girl, he will flush her in the toilet. So I want to have a hidden camera in the office to see his face when he looks on the ultrasound and it really is a girl! I will die laughing! We'll see. He will fall in love with her if its a girl.
